Timecop

As you say Reservoir Timecop remains his most popular, unfortunately I think the runner-up was the sub-par Streetfighter. I think talks of a sequel to the latter film have finally fell through. The reason I heard for him not wanting to do the helicopter kicks anymore was indeed that he himself felt he was getting too old for them which is a shame. There aren't many Van Damme films I haven't been keen on, only Black Eagle, Streetfighter and Derailed really. He seems to be becoming a very decent actor lately, which Ringo Lam has made shine through in his recent films. I have high hopes for Wake of Death being what Out For a Kill should have been (don't get me wrong I still love Out For a Kill despite its flaws), I wonder whatever happened to The Tower and The Monk?

Very well!

JC has been showing a great improvement in acting ... as in "In Hell" and "Derailed" (I personally found "Derailed" laughable with its CGI but it was still watchable). And like you said Steve, I hope "Wake of Death" is what "Out For A Kill" should've been too.

Van Damme

Indeed, In Hell was very good. Derailed was okay in parts but as you say the truly horrific blue-screen work spoiled every scene in which it appeared, as did an over zealous editor who didn't really know how to cut the quieter scenes and just made a mess of them instead. The Order was pretty average but had decent fights. Good to see he's still working though, he's always been my second fave to Seagal. Shame none of his films seem to go theatrical anymore, though with In Hell being a step in the right direction we can but hope.

Yes, he's very close, especially good for angle shots. I wonder, was he the guy running over the top of the train in US2?

"No one can copy his voice"

Lotussan, the guy is listed as a stunt double, NOT a stunt dubber. :D

That's a very close resemblance. Add a pony tail, some curls, and maybe a few... :D

Some people have said Seagal used a stund double in OOR, if so I certainly can't see it. There are definatly a couple of times when he is walking and the camera shows him from behind when you can clearly tell it wasn't him. Also the scene where he did the summersault, if you pause it at the exact point you can actually see the doubles face. But as far as the fight scenes are concerend I can't see a double at all.

Looks nothing like Seagal?

It is crazy the resemblance. How can you not see it? He is obviously in much better shape then Seagal too, because he is the one who does all the physical activity.
