THE BIG-SCREEN SCENE: Steven Seagal will take on both Japanese Yakuzas and Chinese Tongs in his "Into the Sun" flick that's just started production, with locations slated for Japan and Thailand. Casting forces have been signing on Asian martial arts experts aplenty for the flick, but we're guessing Seagal will prevail despite being outnumbered.

******************************

I wold love to see this one on the big screen!

Well, you can't believe everything you read...But I'll say this, if some of the "bad" things we have read are true, I don't even care, because he's only human, and now it's done, and done, and besides, I like him for who he is and I love him because he's who he is, I can take the good with the bad, that is called unconditional LOVE...If anyone says they are perfect then that's the biggest fault they have right there, but no-one should keep beating themselves up for things they might have done in the past either, we all have our own karma, so no-one needs to punish themselves, just do the best we can, that is what we should do, cause no-one in this world is perfect, not one single person...You sound as if I think that about him, not so, I know there are things that aren't so rosy, but still I respect the things that are, I don't judge him...:)

'Action speaks louds than words' ?! ...

I'd have to disagree with you on that one Tora. Lately, Steven Seagal has been very, how should I put it, 'philosophical' whenever he gives interviews or does seminars/lectures (i.e. environmental issues, religious debates, politics, etc.). So I would have to say, that Seagal's "words" are strong, but are backed up via strong "action."

You seem to be a contradiction to yourself, funny how you disagree and then interprete it exactly the way I mean it.
:D But what the heck?I guess it's hard to tell when I'm being sarcastic and when serious,eh?:D

Word of the day: elaboration :=) or 'confusion' perhaps (for some)

Not really a contradiction - both words, and action are strong (for Steven Seagal - is what I said) - one backs up the other. For example: for bullies, words speak louder than actions - you say something to a bully and it speaks to them so strongly that they 'bully' you. In comedy, you can be the most - whatever - but if you ain't got your material straightenned out, you won't be funny, and your actions will not speak louder than words since a comedian can't be just funny looking (that was a small joke, now LAUGH I tell ya :=) So you see, actions do not always speak louder than words. That's all I tried to say. Then ... (I always have to explain my posts LOL, so how much do you want me to elaborate each time?).

The Ponytail might be making a comeback
Posted on Fri, 16-Apr-2004

?Jungle Jim? tells us that Steven Seagal?s quietly making a comeback - whether we like it or not.

Our insider tells us the film that?s supposedly going to turn it all around for the former Mr Kelly LeBrock is called ?Into the Sun?.

?News from the set was that this one?s going against the grain ? of heading direct to disc - and headed for theatres. It?s from Director Mink, who did Full Clip, and features Steven as a retired agent who slips into the disguise of the modern-day Yazkuza. It?s your typical Seagal stuff, but harks back a little more to the Under Siege?s and Hard to Kill?s, rather than the recent films he?s been doing?.

And apparently reuniting with the studio has given Seagal another chance to talk up a project he?s been creaming to do for eons. With Warner looking at distributing the new film, it?s given Seagal a chance to talk them into an ?Under Siege 3?. It's never happened because the studio's been a little concerned - and yeah, understandably so - about the ponytailed avenger's box office appeal these days. Should "Into the Sun" do ok, or any other of his 4 or 5 projects in the works, it could happen. They're actually talking, so that's more than what Seagal's use to. "See how this goes I?m sure, and then they'll talk about it?, informs our scooper.

Before any of that happens though Seagal is doing a couple of films for Franchise Pics. In June, he starts filming ?Submerged? and two months later, ?Mercenary?. I?ll weigh in here and see they?re direct to video numbers, so don?t cross everything for Casey Ryback?s return.

What?s interesting here is Seagal returning to work for Warner. A while back he told the paper, The Shambhalasun, this : ?I was under a contract with Warner Brothers I could not get out of, and what they wanted me for was the male action films. I was offered extraordinary sums of money by other studios to do different types of movies and Warner Brothers would not let me. Now that I?m out of that situation, this will enable me to do the kinds of films I would really like to do, which certainly are spiritual in nature and which will lead people into contemplation?.

Hopefully comments like that don't hinter the chances of Seagal's "Under Siege" sequel?

Meantime, Sounds like Seagal?s too busy to do that Genghis Khan movie then? Hopefully?

While on the topic of action pics, we?ve an update on the film ?Old Soldiers?, which Christian Slater and Val Kilmer were circling about at one point. Apparently it?s still without cast ? but moving ahead at last, with casting supposed to take place sometime in the next couple of months. The film, about an outsider who?s plonked with a mysterious package who ultimately teams with a mercenary, is at the helm of Andrzej Sekula [?Cube 2?]. Financing has been the main problem, and because of the setback, Sekula?s been prepping another film.

Called ?Escobar?, it centres on the most powerful drug lord in history, Carlos Escobar, and is a snapshot of twelve years of his life ? centering on his place in congress, those that wanted to impeach him, and how he always stayed one step ahead of the authorities.

Be interesting to see who they cast in the lead role, won?t it?

Thanks, we have seen this recently, but it's still exciting...
Found it a bit hard to read because of the question marks?
Is it my computer? I hope he makes them all, as I love to watch him, but most importantly I respect his judgement, and blah to what they say, he's the most appealing guy in the world to me, and I am not the only one....
So if US3 never gets made, oh well...
I can't wait to see OOR, how about you all? :)

Check out this site:

http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0000219/

I'm not sure how legitimate this site is but it lists

Unleashed (2004) (in production)
Into the Sun (2004) (filming) .... Travis Hunter
Out of Reach (2004/I) (post-production) .... Billy Ray Lancing
Clementine (2004)

And producing

Under Siege 3 (2004) (in production) (producer)

Some Interesting info. Not much new though. Doesn't make me happy that he will be producing yet not acting in US3?

Kinda thought US3 was done away with... Not really sure if Unleashed was mentioned anywhere before unless under another name. I hope one of these movies come out by the end of August (fingers crossed).

I don't completely trust IMDB...
Because anyone can add information to the pages there, and of course, human error happens as well as changes that go unrecoreded...
But of course, I do hope you're right...
There have been many things on here that I thought were hoaxes, that finally panned out...
I guess I am just quite skeptical, and not nearly attentive enough either, probably not such flattering qualities most of the time, but oh well...
I am afraid US2 isn't going to happen yet, but dunno...

Yep, this is the third or fourth time we've seen this article. There's got to be a better way to manage such things, since several people have posted the same article, either as a link or copied from the site; and quite frankly, some of the language in the article indicates fairly clearly the writer is of tender years (or never learned to how to write for the general public without using terms a 16-year-old boy thinks are clever).

Sorry, Dog; but the informative value of anything that comes from moviehole.com is suspect, since it doesn't seem to encourage at least a semblance of professional writing. And one wonders where they get their information from, too.

Reservoir Dog

Oh, I always thought it was a reputable site. Who knows. I dont think it was unprofessional, he just stated the facts, with little or no style. Then again, just because hes not a seagal fan, doesnt mean the information he has isn't true or intended to be a joke. But, I do agree with what your saying. Maybe we should wait to see if "Into the Sun" does in fact get a theatrical release, then we will be able to judge better.

Just to a point,Genghis Khan won't be made either...at list not this year as was planned...So here's another dispute if Ryback wants to come back to the kitchen or not  :cook:

Speculation? And Seagal's trips to Mongolia and investigations on the scenery was a speculation too?
